I think this is warning for the replacement of Hangout over GTalk : https://play.google.com/store/...

If this goes on, I think the result would be same as in movies like iRobot or Wall-e!

Re: Google Talk Being Prepared For Changes?

We know that Google searches through your Gmail to find information that will help them sell advertising focused on you specifically. Since the Google Talk sessions are now archived in Gmail, seems logical that this is a play to get more of your information so that they can in turn sell advertising based on not only the contents of your emails, but your talk/chats as well

Re: Google Talk Being Prepared For Changes?

Same thing for me. I signed up for a new Gmail to use with Talk earlier today, and ofc disabled the chat logging first thing. A couple hours ago I got this same message in the GTalk client. The setting is even gone in the Gmail settings (chat tab), so it's probably not just some service problems. At least the "off the record" option is still available, but it's per chat so it will have to be enabled each time.

Edit: A recent addition to that help document!:
"We've made a change to the Google Chat and Google Talk chat history settings. You can turn individual chats off the record, but you'll no longer have the option to make chatting off the record the default setting for all of your chats."

No reason as to why is mentioned.

Re: Google Talk Being Prepared For Changes?

I got the same message trice in the last 2 hours. Myself alongside with colleagues who have a Samsung galaxy S3 as part of work have not been able to use the new Outlook app as it just goes to a white screen after we enter our login details. I understand that the issue has been fixed for some people by simply restarting their cell phones however for myself and some others this issue has not been fixed.. we cannot login in. Please advise if you have any suggestions on: jelenao@hotmail.com
